The pocket is great for my phone when I wear these as "athleisure", but I don't like to wear these to run because the pocket is too bouncy for a phone or keys. There is no hidden pocket for my key fob so I have to wear a running belt that holds my phone and my keys. I mainly bought these for casual wear, not running, but it would have been nice if they worked for both.I am typically a medium when I buy workout shorts. I like my workout shorts to run a little on the roomy side. I thought these were a little snug across my butt. Im 5’5’, 135 pounds. Kind of curvy. Other than that I like them. Comfy to walk in but I feel this size is a little binding when I’m doing lunges or squats. These gym shorts are pretty good, but the elastic waistband does not have as much stretch as other brands. I recommend going a size up if you carry weight in your midsectionThese shorts are a good length for me as they are 4 inches. I had a hard time finding other shorts this length with the thick waistband look. However, do be cautioned that if your thighs are average-large in size, the front of the shorts will likely roll up your thigh during normal activity which can be a little annoying. Despite this small annoyance, these are still my go-to shorts due to the full coverage backside that they offer.Very comfortable and moves well with you without being baggy. For reference I am 5'5 140-145 lbs. More junk in my belly than I'd prefer. This was very flattering on the bottom area, which is hard to find for me. The only reason I am sending back is the pockets are too small to be functional for me. They will fit keys or cards but I could not get my hand in any farther than pictured and it being able to hold my phone is a deal breaker for me.Good for walking, not for tough or sweaty workouts. Do run a bit small- medium fit like a 4/6I ordered a size up based on the other reviews but found that those were pretty baggy. In my usual size the fit is just what I want to use for exercise. After reading the reviews, I decided to size up from a M to L (even though their size chart indicated I should fit into a M). So I was surprised that the L was still too small. I mean, it fit, but it was definitely ill-fitting. I’ll return this pair and try an XL because they are cute shorts, nice material, and I love the color. I have several other pairs of Baleaf shorts that I like, too. But yeah, definitely size up. Maybe even 2 sizes like in my case. I hate saying that, though. I feel like you should be able to look at the sizing chart and order your size, not go through this song-and-dance of trying/returning multiple pairs to find a size that fits. So that’s disappointing.
